Monday night, Costas Inn was fortunate enough to host Gold in Fight’s Gold Ribbon Cutting Dinner. With some amazing food, exciting raffles, and all-around love, this event was a huge success for everyone involved. Gold in Fight was created by truly dedicated volunteers and families. That’s why we want to dedicate our weekly blog to their event! Read on to learn more about the Gold in Fight Foundation, and learn how you can continue to help through Costas Inn.
What is the Gold in Fight Foundation?
The Gold in Fight Foundation is a completely volunteer-run foundation dedicated to helping children affected by cancer. Pediatric cancer is a disease which requires a lot of attention, and can cause even more stress. Parents often struggle with hospital bills and the fear they have for their child’s health, and the child must weather the terrible sickness. Gold in Fight aims to change this; they want to raise as much money as possible to help children who are suffering from cancer. Their motto is, “Working to KO Childhood Cancer.” With values such as hope, honesty, openness, passion, and empathy, the Gold in Fight Foundation works diligently to help those in need.
How can you help?
Donations are a great way to support Gold in Fight; you can give a donation by navigating to the link on their Facebook page. You can also spread the word! Raising awareness for this foundation also raises awareness for pediatric cancer. 100% of donations go straight to the cause, and all members of Gold in Fight are non-paid volunteers. Or, if you’re thinking of coming to Costas Inn this week, we will have a toy donation box set up. The age range is from infancy to 19 years, so just about any toy is welcome. The toys will then be sent to children with pediatric cancer for Christmas. When you come in for dinner this week, don’t forget your donation to the cause!
