On Monday, October 22nd, Costas Inn Restaurant was graced with a sweet celebration: a visit from the cupcake gurus of Georgetown Cupcakes, Katherine Kallinis Berman and Sophie Kallinis LaMontagne.
From prime time television to the dining room at Costas, the two baking virtuosos joined us for a book signing with their latest cookbook, Sweet Celebrations in benefit of college scholarships granted by The Greek America Foundation. The sister duo stayed for two and a half hours, from 7:30-9:00, graciously greeting their guests and posing for photos with fans.
The release of their new book isn’t all the DC Cupcakes stars have to celebrate: Katherine, whose husband Ben Berman also joined us last Monday, is pregnant. The news was announced this October, when their TLC Show returned to television – a real treat for their fans!
And as an added treat for those who joined us at Costas, Sophie and Katherine brought along lots of lovely little cakes – tens and dozens of their famed cupcakes, in fact. Everyone – from adults to kids – loved sampling the celebrity chefs’ delightful desserts.
The representative from The Greek America Foundation – Despina M. Kreatsoulas, Director of Events and Projects – was happy to report that the team was successful in raising money for the organization, and was glad to have the opportunity to stop in Baltimore as a part of their book tour.

I financed dealers for years and there is no end to their dirty tricks. What about that administration fee? It wasn’t enough the markup of 25%. It is only the ignorance of the consumer that allows these dealers to rape and pillage like they do. This is good info hopefully the consumers will use it.
