Maybe it’s presumptuous of us. Maybe we’re bragging a little too much. We don’t mind being modest 364 days of the year, but just this once, we’re going to pat ourselves on the back a little and take a moment to tell you why we think we’re the best seafood restaurant in Baltimore. Then we’ll happily go back to humbly picking the meat from your crabs and serving them to you in our world famous crabcakes (ha, okay, you get it, we know.)
But really: we’ve been around since the early seventies. You know, around the time when M*A*S*H started airing, right when the Beatles has just called it quits, and when the 26th amendment made 18 the legal voting age. The point is, we’ve been doing this for a while. Such a long while that since we’ve opened, bellbottoms have gone in, out, and back in style again. We’ve perfected our recipes since then, and that’s why so many people (not just us!) dare to call us the best seafood restaurant in Baltimore (and we’ve got some stiff competition out there!)
Speaking of recipes, ours are pretty tried and true. We know you already know this, but Kathie Lee Gifford has announced on national television that we make her fave crab cakes. Pretty cool, right? Countless others have spoken high of us, too, but we won’t bore you with that right now.
So, what goes into those recipes that have us claiming to be the best seafood restaurant in Baltimore? Well, the crabs – obviously. We fly them in daily from Louisiana and the Texas Gulf to ensure they’re fresh and delicious, and then steam ‘em up perfectly and top ‘em off with our famous crab seasoning – it doesn’t get much better than that.
But, okay, besides the great food, this is just a fun place to be. We’ve got a bar and host live music sessions every weekend, plus karaoke parties and other great events – it’s a hotspot in town.
