Crabs are a seafood dish that can be served on their own or with other dishes. Its meat’s savory and delectable flavor makes it one of the most appreciated and popular seafood dishes to serve at restaurants, events, or at-home for lunch and dinner. Listed below are three methods used for cooking crabs.
Boiling
Crab boils are one of the most popular methods for cooking crabs. It’s great for preparing a large meal filled with delicious crabs and other seafood items such as shrimp, oysters, and lobster that can be served at events, family gatherings, and on holidays. Crab boils can be as simple as stocking a large pot with boiling water and adding salt, wine, hot sauce, herbs, vegetables, meat, and many other seasonings and ingredients infusing your dish with savory flavors.
Steaming
Steaming crabs is another popular method for cooking crabs that allows you to retain more flavor. Carefully layer your crabs in a steamer bucket or rack on top of a raised pot with water and other liquids such as vinegar, beer, or wine. Then add your favorite seasonings, ingredients, and products to cover your crabs and allow them to cook until they’re ready to be served and devoured.
Baking
Baking isn’t as common as boiling and steaming crabs. However, it’s another method used to cook tasty crab legs. Baking crab legs consists of placing them on a baking sheet or tray, seasoning them to your liking, then placing them in the oven to let it cook, basking in the flavor of the many seasonings and products you’ve selected to accompany your meal. Oven-baked crab legs make for a delicious treat that you can serve to an individual or group for lunch or dinner.
