This Weekend at Costas Inn
March Madness Final Four
The moment we’ve all been waiting for is here. It’s March Madness Final Four weekend!
On the men’s side, we’ve got a final four for the ages. Four of the biggest and most storied schools in college basketball history will meet in what is set to be two epic matchups this Saturday.
At 6:09 pm, #7 Michigan State takes on #1 Duke. Tom Izzo and Mike Krzyzewski? Two of the most venerable coaches in college basketball? You can’t script that. While Duke may be fielding four freshman, they’re playing like a veteran squad. Michigan State may be a 7 seed, but many felt they were underseeded, and the team has proved them right up to this point. If they win, they’ll be only the second team in history to beat a 1, 2, 3, and 4 seed in the tournament. The only other team to do that? Last year’s tournament champion, UConn.
At 8:49 pm, #1 Wisconsin, led by Bo Ryan, takes on #1 Kentucky, led by the always controversial John Calipari. Say what you will about his recruiting practices, but Calipari and his team are undefeated, and are the favorites to win it all. You won’t want to miss either of these games.
On the women’s side, Maryland faces off against UConn on Sunday at 8:30! UConn is arguably the best women’s basketball school in history, but the Terps aren’t about to let that phase them. Join us on Sunday to cheer on the home team! Come early for #1 Notre Dame and #1 South Carolina at 6:30.
