From American Pharoah taking the Triple Crown, to the Golden State Warriors winning the NBA Finals, to the Chicago Blackhawks winning the NHL finals, to the Orioles winning 9 of their last 11, including a 19-3 win with 8 home runs against the Phillies. Women’s World Cup
The Women’s World Cup continues this weekend in Canada, and we’re now in the knockout stage of the tournament. The U.S. women’s team have the weekend off as they gear up to play Colombia on Monday, but there’s still plenty of great international action to watch on Saturday and Sunday. Tomorrow at 4, watch Germany take on Sweden. The Germans had an impressive 10-0 win over Ivory Coast in the group stage, but Sweden is coming off a strong performance in the Algarve Cup earlier this year.
U.S. Open
The 115th U.S. Open is under way at Chambers Bay in Washington. This beautiful links style course poses some unique challenges for contenders. The field includes a 15 year old amateur, Cole Hammer, who shot a 77 in the first round. And 21-year-old Jordan Spieth led the first round almost all the way through, falling only at the end with a double bogey. Join us for the rest of the weekend to see if these young guys can run away with the tournament!
Orioles vs. Blue Jays
The Orioles are hot. They’ve won 9 of their last 11, including a sweep of the Red Sox, and near sweeps of the Yankees and Phillies. This weekend they’re in Toronto. The Blue Jays have stifled the O’s so far this year, but with the Orioles playing like they are now, they’re looking to take the series.
