Well, it wasn’t the start to the season we were hoping for. Hats off to Peyton Manning for his record-tying seven touchdown game, but now is not the time to hang our heads in shame. Lest we forget that the last time we lost to the Broncos in the regular season in Denver, we returned to beat them on an unforgettable playoff run that culminated with a Super Bowl championship. There’s still plenty of football left to be played folks, and our birds will be back in their roost next week for their home opener against Cleveland!
In our other favorite bird’s nest, we’ve got the Orioles back in town this weekend for a three game series against the Chicago White Sox, after which the birds will be facing exclusively AL East opponents, starting with grueling four game home series next week against the Yankees. If there ever were a time for Orioles magic, now would be it. The O’s hold their destiny in their hands, so let’s give them all the support we can and make this September a memorable one.
