Here at Costas Inn, we strive to give you the tastiest menu items that we can. It’s a great day for a crab dip grilled cheese sandwich. It combines two of your favorites in a genius way. It’s easy enough to combine them once you make each dish separately. Read on to learn more about it!
What to Serve with Crab Dip
Obviously, one of the best ways to serve crab dip is to layer it onto a sandwich, whether or not you want to do it with grilled cheese. Other accompaniments will depend on whether the crab dip is supposed to be served hot or cold. Warm crab dip pairs well with toasted bread, part of the reason why it is so good when added to a grilled cheese sandwich. Baguette slices, sturdy crackers, breadsticks, and pita chips make surprisingly good partners as well. Just make sure that the dip can be supported – it gets awkward and hard to eat if it spills out onto your fingers! Likewise, cold crab dip is great with fresh bread and crackers topped with poppy seeds, sea salt, or sesame seeds.
The Ultimate Grilled Cheese
Now let’s turn our attention to creating the ultimate grilled cheese. First off, there’s the cheese. Here are some options to get your mouth watering:
- Gruyere
- Mozzarella
- Muenster
- Fontina
- Gouda
- Swiss
- Cream cheese
- Soft goat cheese
- Cottage cheese
Of course, the last three cheeses need to be paired with something else. Cheddar, mozzarella, blue cheese, and parmesan all tag in here. Don’t forget the bread! While white bread is a staple, you can also experiment with whole wheat, seeded bread, pumpernickel, and rye.
